The Neurofeedback Institute

The Neurofeedback Institute was founded in 2000 by Drs. Harris and Blanco both clinical psychologists. The institute was founded on the principle that most if not all disorders are a complex interaction between mind, body, environment and spirit. Recognizing that their work as clinical psychologists tended to omit the biological (the brain) component of this complex interaction, they sought training in neurofeedback by two of the pioneers in the field to better help those who sought treatment. The Neurofeedback Institute is dedicated to treating brain dysregulations (such as attention deficit, autistic spectrum disorders, headaches, sleep issues, panic attacks and tic disorders) and peak performance training. The center treats men, women, adolescents and children. The center uses their knowledge of psychological and neurological processes to empower clients and enable them to improve general brain function and obtain a higher overall quality of life.

The center uses a combination of neurofeedback coupled with psychotherapeutic interventions to address client issues in an integrated manner. The intrinsic relationship between mental, emotional and physical states is at the heart of their intervention. This approach serves to assist in the enhancement of a client’s cognitive, psychological and physiological well-being. The center emphasizes peak performance training for those individuals that are ready to reach their optimum functioning level. Regardless of the goals of treatment, the center assesses each client’s case individually and creates a specific treatment plan that is designed to meet the person’s unique needs.
